Growing up in Oregon, I didn’t appreciate the beauty that surrounded me every day. It wasn’t until I changed my routine and moved to a different state that I realized what all Oregon had to offer. You can point in any direction and take off and see rows of luscious green tree’s and beautiful flowers in bloom. Now, when I come back to visit, I love to drive so I can see as much of Oregon as I can. My favorite section of the drive on Highway 84 in Oregon is having the Columbia River to my right, Mt. Hood straight ahead and trees everywhere. Depending on the season, you will see wind surfers taking on the rough waters and the burning sun. After an hour or so Multnomah Falls appears off to the left. That is definitely a good stop to make, sun, rain, or snow. Just be prepared for it to be busy…always! If you are a hiker, the hike up the falls is rough but well worth it when you make it to the top.
Sure Oregon gets joked on all of the time, about being all tree huggers and hippies. But when you stop and look around, you would totally understand why we are tree huggers! We want to keep Oregon beautiful. Elizabeth
